Negative body language happens when someone is uncomfortable or unhappy about what’s around them or their thoughts. With some attention to what others are doing, you can begin to read their thoughts and spin whatever you’ve got to say to fill their unconscious needs. You’ll feel that deep connection, help them become more positive and you’ll be able to get your way. So watch for these movements.
Uncover Negative Thinking
1. Crossing legs
Crossing legs says they’ve got some negativity going on with something around them.
2. Crossing arms
Crossing arms also shows some negativity. There are environmental factors here, though! They may just be cold, but where the body goes the mind will follow. Crossed arms will eventually turn into a slightly negative mindset, or worse!
3. Crossing arms and legs together
The double cross says big negative thinking. Something going on is making them VERY uncomfortable.
4. Putting barriers between yourself and others
Barriers include something like a coffee cup or something bigger like a chair.
5. Crossing their legs away from you
The legs can be the most telling indicator of someone’s true feelings. People will point their legs towards whomever they’re giving their real attention to no matter where their head is. In this picture, who is she most interested in?
6. Covering your mouth just before or just after you speak
This can indicate lying or holding back the truth.
7. Pointing up at the sky or straight at you
This signals aggression and an uncooperative attitude and a person who will likely refuse to work with you until they calm down.
8. Slamming objects around
This sends a warning to whoever you’re mad at that ‘this could be you.’
