Hi!
It’s been a busy month for lies. Here’s a couple that you’ll get a kick out of. First. Let’s talk about Kama Harris. You know I try to avoid politics in this newsletter but I’ve gotten sucked in again. If you are gonna get upset and don’t want to get a good chuckle you can stop reading now.

This one is pretty easy. She shakes her head no immediately after the question is asked. Then talks about how she’s in Guatemala (not the answer to a yes or no question) then throws her hands up in exasperation before finally saying ‘at some point’. So I think we can see that she doesn’t have a border visit on her calendar.
And now to the world of sports:
The New Your Yankee’s pitcher Gerrit Cole was asked directly if he’s been using Spider Tack. It’s the modern version of pine tar that pitchers have been using to doctor baseballs. The company even says that clubs are having is shipped directly to the stadiums. Let’s see what he says about it:
When he gets asked directly if he’s used it, he stumbles on his words and while he’s trying to put together his thoughts he pauses 5 seconds. That almost always indicates deception. Then he says he doesn’t know what to say about that. The answer is a simple yes or no. Then he generalizes into the generations and to the league. Pants on Fire Garret.
And this one is just for fun. It’s been a big hit on TicTok.
Here we have a classic fake smile. A Delaware high school student is scowling as she walks to receive her diploma, then gives a winning smile….that goes away immediately when she walks off. Smiles that disappear this fast are never real. Happiness creates a chemical reaction in the body and those chemicals have a half life. So that disappear gradually. You don’t have to be a body language expert to figure this one out. Millions of people have had a good laugh at this one and you should too.
