Last summer I was lucky enough to be cast on an Australian reality TV show, Hamish and Andy. They came to Boulder to look for Fenn’s Treasure.

Lots of people look for Fenn’s Treasure. It’s a real thing. Forrest Fenn hid $5million in antique coins somewhere in the Rocky Mountains of the US. And he wrote a very cryptic poem about where it’s located.
Here it is:
As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.
Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.
From there it’s no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There’ll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.
If you’ve been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, you quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.
So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answers I already know,
I’ve done it tired, and now I’m weak.
So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold.
Yep, that’s the whole poem. Can you solve it?
Hamish and Andy were determined to. So they hired me to help them out. I was able to submit my questions to Fenn himself. And I got to do some video review on his answers. Was he telling the truth about his treasure and where it’s located? Or was he a fraud?
I put my deception detection skills to the test.
Is there really a treasure? Did we find it? Am I a millionaire and haven’t been able to tell you because of a nondisclosure agreement?
The show aired just before Thanksgiving. You’re going to have to watch and find out.
Enjoy!
Thank You for this video Traci, Hamish, and Andy. Very entertaining and I love the way H&A interact. =)
