Is Tara Reade Lying about Joe Biden’s Sexual Assault? That’s the big question now that the news is covering something over than COVID-19.
I finally found her whole interview with Megan Kelly. I’ve watched it through about the 15 min mark. Enough to see her description of what happened.
I believe she’s telling the truth. I didn’t see any signs of deception. I was concerned about the slight smile she has and the bit of contempt I saw (that’s her crooked mouth) but then when she got into the description of what happened her emotions took over. And you can’t fake that stuff to the level that she had them, right on cue. If she’s that good she needs to go to Hollywood. She’d be paid millions for that acting.
The rub is that the story has changed over the years.. I don’t know by how much. I haven’t seen that video. It’s not unusual to have the story change a bit.Humans have really bad memories. And sometimes even false memories. The fact that she’s said all along that something happened with Biden is consistent. So I believe something happened. And it’s pretty close to what she’s said here. It takes a lot of guts to do a big interview like this and get so graphic. only 4% of sexual assault victims lie about it because of the shame attached to it. Both publicly and personally. I’ve only worked on one case where the woman did lie about it. And I don’t see any of the same tells here.
Here’s what Stan Walters former FBI agent and interrogation trainer had to say:
I also took a look at Tara Reade’s interview. I agree with Traci’s assessment on non verbal behaviors. Body language is driven predominantly by emotion as Traci points out. I also focus heavily on the verbal content. In terms of her narrative, reality monitoring cues and the nonverbal, her story is pretty strong. Also agree with Traci on memory deterioration – small details come and go but the core memories especially as it relates to the emotions experience during an event stays fairly consistent over time. Part of the way I evaluate a narrative is by V.A.S.T. Visual, Auditory, Spacial, & Temporal cues. Her’s are very consistent.
