Your assets aren’t safe on line! Cyber criminals are out to get you….and all of us. If there’s one thing this pandemic has highlighted it’s that people’s morals become flexible when faced with hardship.
I know you’re interested in spotting the lies right in front of you…and you’re getting better at it. But let’s face it, that’s only ½ the equation to protecting yourself from fraud. The other half is cyber and identity theft fraud. It’s faceless, and once you’re a target can be a constant problem, wrecking your credit, draining your bank and investment accounts, using your health care insurance benefits and even using your kids social security numbers to destroy their credit too.
That’s why I’ve partnered with ID Shield to provide you with a new, more complete level of service to protect you from both the crooks you can and can’t see. I’ve been approached by other companies, read the policies, and ID Shield is the only one I’ll put my name behind. I’m inviting you watch this informational webinar. You’ll want to attend if you’ve been scammed, or are concerned about it. (And you should be concerned about it. I can almost guarantee your info is out there for sale on the dark web waiting to be used by a criminal.)
Here’s a few of the things we’ll chat about:
I’ll tell you what happened when, despite his best efforts, one of my clients got phished for his bank password. (hint: the ending isn’t good)
How you can have losses from a breach replaced- in any online account How to easily restore your credit in case of a breach How you can mitigate any legal fees
And I’ll also tell you how this is all seriously affordable on any budget.
And as a bonus: You’ll get to meet Kevin Daley, former team captain of the Harlem Globetrotters. He’ll be there. But you have to attend to figure out why. Trust me, it will all make sense. All you have to lose by not attending is everything you’ve worked for. Here’s the video:
And here’s the transcript
Traci Brown: Hi. I’m Traci Brown, the Fraud Busting Body Language Expert. Thank you so much for taking a little bit of time to join me here. If you’re on this call, you’ve probably seen me speak and we’ve talked all about the body language of deception, like how to detect lies and fraud hidden in plain sight. It turns out that’s only half the equation. The other half is cyber. How are you going to protect yourself online? You’ve probably noticed that this year I’ve expanded my brand into giving you some tips to protect yourself online. The folks at ID Shield found this out and they got a hold of me and they said, “Hey, we want you to be involved with us.” And I said, “Who are you? What do you want?” It turns out that they provide ID theft insurance and they really liked what I was up to. Now, I ended up reading their policy as well as all the policies on the market, and I found theirs to be the most comprehensive. I mean, I was with LifeLock and their policy seemed to have better protection than what I was currently paying for. That’s what this is about today. We are talking about ways that you can protect yourself online, both free, because I’ve got some free tips for you, and also with super affordable coverage from ID Shield.
Now I’ve had this solution for several months. I haven’t done much with it. You probably noticed it maybe in some videos that I did or in some emails. I haven’t really said a whole lot. Then here’s what happened. About two weeks ago I was on a call with a client and he said, “Traci, we woke up one morning, we logged into our bank account, and all the money was gone, $250,0000 gone”, and the bank won’t replace it. He goes, “I got phished”, like p-h-i-s-h, that means a hacker sent him an email. He wasn’t paying attention, and he just filled in his login credentials. The info went straight to the hacker, and they went straight to his bank account and took all his money. The bank said, “Sorry, we are not going to replace any of this money.”
ID Shield is a solution for exactly that kind of problem. That situation is why I am doing this call tonight because I don’t want anyone else to end up in that kind of lurch. It’s not even in that boat. It’s like on the sinking ship.
Tonight, I do have with me my friend, Kevin Daley. You’re going to see him in a little bit. He is super cool. He is one of the most solid guys that I know. He used to be a Harlem Globetrotter. He was a body double for Michael Jordan in Gatorade and Nike ads. He’s just a great guy, and he has a wealth of knowledge in how you can protect yourself. We’re going to be hearing from him. You’re going to really love him.
We can talk about ID theft all we want, but I thought it would be better if we played a little game show. You know me, I like to have fun, so let’s jump in. I’m going to share my screen, and we’re going to play my Fraud Busting Game Show. We’re going to test your knowledge of fraud and learn a lot along the way. Here we go.
Get ready because what you’re going to do is type your answers into the chat box. Kevin’s going to help me moderate. I can’t actually see the chat box right now.
Question #1
True or false? Your financial service companies will ask you to confirm your account info via email? True or false? Type it in the chat box. What do you think?
Kevin Daley: I’m seeing a lot of false, no, false. Everybody’s pretty much saying false. Dorothy said no.
Traci Brown: Yea. Okay, okay. Good. The answer is, survey said, the answer is false. Now, we get inundated with these all the time, whether it’s from banks, maybe your e-trade account, from Amazon. It looks like it is from Amazon, from PayPal, from iTunes, all of these, and people actually fall for it.
Here is how you can know if it’s phishing or not. Phishing means it’s sent from a hacker. One, if they ask you at all for your information, that is number one, but let’s face it, we’re all busy and we may just log in not knowing. Never, ever, ever click on a link from any of these emails. If you think it’s important, go straight to the site, log in that way, and they’ll be a secure message for you.
Now, here’s another way that you can handle this. Look at the from address on that, and usually it’s gibberish, like the full email, it’s gibberish. That’s another clue. Right. Hackers are getting smarter, and I actually talked to a fellow, he’s a friend of mine, he was on the FBI’s Most Wanted List for hacking, and this is his tip because the hackers are getting smarter at making the from addresses look better. If there is no dot on the lower case i, they’ve used the Cyrillic alphabet, and it actually reads differently on the back side of your computer in all the inner workings, so that can be a clue as well. But basically, any time you see an email like that, do not fall for it, do not log in.
I think everybody has 100% right now. Let’s keep going.
Next question.
How much does it cost to buy your info off the dark web?
- $20
- $4
- $150
How much is your info worth to a hacker? Put it in the chat box. What are we seeing, Kev?
Kevin Daley: I have B, B, a $4 from Bobby, which is also B. I have one A. Most of them are all B’s to A’s now. The other ones are B’s.
Traci Brown: No one’s going for C? No one think their information is worth $150?
Kevin Daley: No one for C.
Traci Brown: You may have seen this from me before. The answer is $4. Again, this is from a hacker who was once on the Secret Service Most Wanted List, $4. Everything about you is out there for sale for $4. Let’s talk about what everything about you really is and what that means for you. You can find this. You can go out yourself and buy some of these big data dumps that come from these hacks. Now, let’s talk about these hacks because everybody on this call, I’m sure, has been involved in one. Home Depot, Yahoo, my husband got an alert today from ID Shield on Evite, his Evite info has been compromised, or MySpace, Marriott has been hacked twice, there are more people that have been hacked, but they have all of your personal identifiable information. The government gets hacked, credit card numbers, drivers license numbers, social security, health insurance, your age, and your kids’ names and social security numbers. It is out there. There is nothing you can do about it, and it’s for sale for not very much money. It’s up to us really to be smart and start to protect ourselves from something that’s already happened.
Just think what would happen if someone got a home equity line of credit in your name, like on your house, and took all the money, and you didn’t know about it. That is something that happens all the time. Let’s see, the lazy hackers, what they’ll do is just buy a few TVs from Target and go sell them. You just get a couple purchases on your credit card numbers, but the smarter ones will use your medical insurance. How would you like to pay for someone’s hip replacement? Like, that’ would be great. Or getting your government benefits, because we all have government benefits now, unemployment, PPP, all of this government relief. They even file your taxes for you and get your refund. That is pretty tough to overcome.
I know, Kevin, you have a story along this line, don’t you?
Kevin Daley: Yes. A friend of mine, a few years ago he was 22 years old and he was attempting to purchase a home. When he went to go get the loan, the loan officer told him, hey, we would love to give you this loan, but before we’re able to give you this loan, you have to pay off the other loan that you took out 10 years ago. Now mind you, 10 years ago he was 12 years old, so that means that somebody stole his identity, his social security number, and all that stuff, went out there and got a home loan, and he didn’t know until he was 22 years old and trying to purchase a home himself.
Traci Brown: Right. This stuff happens. That’s the point. This stuff happens without you knowing it. Kids and elderly social security numbers are super vulnerable. Pretty much nothing’s safe anymore unfortunately. You can think you’re safe, but you’ve got to cover yourself as much as you can.
Okay, next question. Let’s see how we do on this, because I think we’re doing pretty well overall.
How many credit bureaus are there?
- 2
- 3
- 5
Let’s talk about what a credit bureau is quickly. They basically know everything about all of your purchases and if it’s okay for people to work with you and loan you money. Kevin, what are we seeing?
Kevin Daley: We’re seeing B. I got one C, but mostly all B’s.
Traci Brown: Okay. Survey says, the answer is three. If you said three or I believe that was B, you are right. Let’s talk about who these characters are. There is Equifax, Experian, and Transunion. Like I said, they are the ones that any company that you may want to get a loan from are going to go to and check in, make sure you pay your bills. You’ve got to protect this dearly because it really equates to your reliability as a human being and your purchasing power. That’s the kind of weight that people put on this. Here’s the rub. They get hacked too. All of that information, all of our payment information that is reported there, your car loan, your house loan. Do you pay your utility bills? How much is left on your credit card? Are your credit cards all maxed out or are you pay them off every month? They have all that info and it is out there, especially from Equifax because they got hacked a couple years ago, I believe. Once it’s out, you can’t get it back. That’s the thing.
The number one thing that you can do, and this is free, you can lock your credit. If your credit is not locked right now, you are leaving yourself wide open to someone applying for a loan in your name. That’s not what you want. It is a hassle. It is a pain in the ass. I’m going to tell you that, for sure, because you have to unlock it anytime you want to get a loan. I went to go get a PPP loan, and the first time that I applied I was rejected because my credit was locked. I had to go in, figure out which bureau they wanted, unlock it for a couple of days so they could get in there and look, and then re-lock it. Like I said, a pain in the ass, totally worth it, and to do that, I’m going to demystify it for you. Here is what you can do. Kevin is going to paste this link in the chat box, but I have a blog post on how to do it, exactly how to do it. It’s a really long url. You can see it. Kevin’s pasting that in the chat box. You can just copy it and go straight there. Or if you don’t want to do that, for whatever reason, just email me and I will send you that link. It’s just on my blog. Make sure that you’re copying that or going there right now and doing that.
Are you completely safe because your credit is locked? Well, I would like to think so. However, Equifax got hacked. Credit lock, to my knowledge, has been good, but who knows what’s going to happen with that and you don’t need any problems beyond that, and that’s why ID Shield really comes into play.
Let’s talk about – let’s see, do I have another question? Oh, I do. Okay.
How long does it take to restore your credit after a breach? How long does it take to restore your credit after a breach? What are we seeing, Kevin?
- 200 hours
- 40 hours
- 137 hours
Kevin Daley: An A and a C answer.
Traci Brown: Okay.
Kevin Daley: From two people.
Traci Brown: What’s your best guess?
Kevin Daley: So far, A is becoming the winner, with a few C’s.
Traci Brown: Yea. Okay. So A is the winner. Let’s take a look. What does the survey say? Survey says, 200 hours. If you answered A, you are correct, 200 hours and 6 months to do that, which is exhausting. It’s a lot of trying to figure out what to do, it’s a lot of being on hold. These credit bureaus are impossible almost to get them to change any information. Basically, you need some help doing that. I don’t want to have to think about doing that, and I need to make sure that my credit is put back to where it started, and I needed to make sure the money lost gets put back into my account. ID Shield offers as part of the service that you pay for an unlimited service guarantee to restore your credit by licensed private investigators. They are going to do it for you. It is much less exhausting. Private investigators, I did some research, they about $75 to $150 an hour. That is all included. There is no extra charge.
Let’s see. Let’s talk a little bit more about plans. You and your family get an identity restoration guarantee. We talked about that. They’ll put your credit back where it started, up to, depending on what plan, a $1 million insurance reimbursement policy.
Payday loan monitoring, this may sound kind of kitschy or small deal, or whatever, but that is actually how I got into focusing on fraud at all because my brother was involved in a government hack. It has probably been five years ago. He has a security clearance, and they were impersonating him with an ID with his information and their picture, going in person to payday loan stores, and taking out $300 and leaving. They did it over and over. They still do it, over and over. He deals with it all the time. You definitely want to know what’s going on at payday loan stores.
Here’s another cool thing, 24/7 assistance. Let’s say you’ve been on a long flight, well, whenever we were going on flights. But you’ve been out and it is night, and you understand that something has gone wrong, you can call them any time of day.
Credit tracker, there is an app. It’s super cool. I checked mine today and my credit store is 816 I think, which is really good. It just means I pay my bills, but when you want to check your credit, like independently, usually your credit score goes down because they know you’re checking your credit and you’re thinking about buying something. The more credit checks you have, the more your score goes down, but this is just included. It does not count on that.
Again, unlimited service, social security monitoring, that is super important. They can do deep dives on your social security. Then a few other things, dark web. You can go on the dark web yourself and find yourself. I’ve gone on and found myself, but I don’t want to keep monitoring that, and they’ll do it for you. Passwords, bank account, 401(k), credit and debit monitoring, social media, you can pick what you want them to monitor. It’s not like big brother is going to look at everything that you have all the time unless you want them too.
Plans are from $11.95 to $29.95 a month. Let’s look at how that stacks up. You can monitor one bureau. You get $10K loss coverage and that’s $11.95 a month.
Or you can get that for your family, just one bureau monitoring at $25.95 a month. Here’s the thing. I would absolutely recommend going with three bureau monitoring.
I have a misprint here. The third one should say individual three bureau monitoring and that is $1 million in loss coverage for $15.95 and then three bureau family monitoring. Family is for you, your domestic partner, like whoever you’re shacking up with, right, and all your kids, up to 10 kids. I hope you don’t have more than 10 kids because, wow, if you do, I mean hats off to you.
Because yesterday, I’ve got to tell you, yesterday, Kevin and me, we did a rehearsal on this, and he was doing Daddy day care and he has a two-year-old little girl, and by the middle of our . . . we had hardly even gotten in and there was this huge crash and he’s like, “Oh no, what did you do?” I see him wander off camera. He’s like, “What happened to your clothes?” She was like naked running around. Anyway, if you’re living that kind of lifestyle with 10, good on you, and definitely get the $29.95 because it covers your kids’ identities too.
How are you going to do this? Let’s get into that. Kevin, paste this into the chat box. You can go straight there, if you’re like, yep, this is for me. Kevin will paste a link in. That goes to my signup page.
You just get yourself started, or if you have questions, I don’t want to do a whole lot of questions right now until after. I don’t want to get into the weeds with that, but you can email me. I will hop on the phone and explain it. If I don’t know the answers, I will find the answers for you. That is how this all works.
Traci@tracibrown.com to schedule.
Kevin, did I miss anything?
Kevin Daley: No. I think you covered it well. But one thing I want to highlight too, that you didn’t mention, that social media monitoring is so key because I’ve been an antibullying speaker for so long. I go to the schools, well, when you could go to the schools, and cyber bullying is a huge, huge issue. With this monitoring, you could see if your kids are being bullied. Not only that, when you’re trying to find a job, employers go to your social media, so you can see if someone is posting negative things about you and get it removed. This is such a wonderful, wonderful service that I have myself too, for myself and my family as well, not 10 kids, but I have two.
Traci Brown: Here is what I’m going to do. This is part one. If you feel good, we’re good. If you want to hang on for part two, Kevin is going to take over. There’s more to more fully protect yourself and your assets because ID Shield’s sister company is Legal Shield. If you want to know how to get a will affordably and protect yourself in other ways. We got a will a couple years ago. I didn’t know how much it cost to prepare to die, like oh my gosh. There is a way you can work with that. I am going to stop my share and turn it over to Kevin. I am going to make you the host.
Kevin Daley: Oh, I’ve got power now?
Traci Brown: You’ve got the power. You’ve got the power. Take it away. Share your screen. Do what you do.
Kevin Daley: Alright. Let me share my screen. Can you guys see my screen?
Traci Brown: I got you.
Kevin Daley: Alright. Where is the presenter view? Right here. Alright. Traci, thank you so much. First of all, thank you for inviting me on this. I have the perfect complement to ID Shield. Let me start. Since I’m going to be talking for the next few minutes, I think it’s only fair for me to tell you guys a little bit about myself. Traci, you shared a little bit, but I’ve been with Legal Shield and ID Shield since earlier this year. I was tagged as one of the future leaders of the company already, not because I am so great. It was just because I followed the process that they put in place. I’m very good at following the process. I’m also a speaker. That’s actually how Traci and I met, at one of our major conferences, and I’m also an award-winning author, which I never would have thought that I would become when I was in high school.
Another key thing that you mentioned, yes, 10 years as the leader and the captain of the Harlem Globetrotters, a very small, but well-known team that travels all over the world. This picture right here is one of my favorites because that same two-year-old that you were mentioning earlier, her favorite character is Elmo on Sesame Street, and this is when myself and two of my teammates were on Sesame Street a few years ago, and she finds this on her iPad every day and watches it every single day. It just amazes me. I’m tired of it, although I’m on the actual episode. By the way, the number of the day was three that day, in case you need to know.
Traci Brown: (Laughing).
Kevin Daley: Another thing, I was a double for Michael Jordan in commercials for about two to three years. This picture right here is when we filmed the one that you mentioned earlier. It’s a Gatorade commercial. It was Gatorade’s number one commercial of all time. Can you just imagine how I felt that day? Michael Jordan was my favorite athlete of all time, and here I am playing one on one against Michael Jordan. I’ve got plenty of stories. You guys can email me if you want to hear those stories or find me on social media. But enough about me. I just wanted to give you a little bit about myself.
Let’s talk a little bit more about Legal Shield. What Legal Shield has done is they took the legal system and made it simpler and easier, but the key thing is they made it more affordable for you. I think you’re really, really going to like this information that I’m going to share with you. But before I go into it, I just want you to know Legal Shield did not just pop out of nowhere. They’ve been around since 1972 and have been protecting families since then, over four million families all over the United States, all over Canada, and just as of last year, parts of the UK as well. It’s a very reputable company. If you know anything about the Better Business Bureau, you can look them up and you will see that they are an A+ which is not easy to maintain.
Now, I know what you may be thinking: I do not need any legal protection. Because that’s what I was thinking.
Traci Brown: That’s what I thought.
Kevin Daley: I’ve never been arrested in my life, but when someone shared this same slide that I’m sharing with you, this was my ah-ha moment. The thing is that good people sign contracts and documents that they wished they never signed. Good people have landlord and tenant issues. A good friend of mine, after he moved out of his apartment, funny thing, his landlord did not want to give him his deposit, and it was just normal wear and tear, which you are allowed to have when you move into an apartment. He was emailing, calling, writing letters, nothing. Now he had Legal Shield, and he decided to pick up the phone and call Legal Shield. Well, what Legal Shield did for him, he actually talked to an attorney, not a paralegal, not an attorney that just passed his bar or that is behind bars, an actual attorney that has around 20 years of experience dealing with whatever issue that you’re dealing with. What they did is they wrote a letter on his behalf, sent it to his landlord, and three to four days later the landlord gave him his money back and – this is my favorite part – the landlord apologized to him as well. That is the power of having this. It’s not about, am I going to get in trouble? No. It’s the power of having it.
Good people have been overcharged or treated unfairly. Good people receive speeding tickets. The great thing about this is I have a 15-year-old daughter – that’s not the one that was naked yesterday – and she is just getting ready to drive. If she’s anything like I was when I was 15, I got a few tickets, and it just made my father upset because it raised the car insurance. With Legal Shield, what they’re going to do, if you get a ticket, you’re probably still going to have to pay the ticket if you were speeding, right. But they’re going to go to court on your behalf and you may not even have to show up to the court. They’re going to send an attorney to the court and make sure that you get no points against your driver’s license, which would leave your insurance rate the same as it whatever it is that you had before. This is big because one speeding ticket can raise your car insurance and they may even dump you, and then you have to find new car insurance. I have the coverage, and it also covers my daughter. I feel better knowing that she is getting ready to drive. Like you mentioned, good people have concerns about their child’s identity.
What does Legal Shield give you as part of the legal plan? You can go to your app and from your app, you can press the button and it’s going to connect you to the law firm that you’re connected to and you can have an unlimited number of issues answered by your attorney. I’m going to repeat that: An unlimited number. That means if you want to call them 200 times and ask them questions, hey, I’m getting ready to – I don’t know – buy a home. What are my rights? They will tell you what your rights are. You no longer need to go to Google and hope that the answer that you got from Google is correct. Now they’re going to write letters and make calls on your behalf, like the story I shared with you with the landlord.
They’re going to review contracts and documents that you may have. Now, the thing about contracts and documents, those are written by an attorney, so why not have an attorney review them on your behalf to make sure that everything in the contract benefits you?
They’re also going to assist you with any IRS audits, and I have to tell you this, that I was audited by the IRS a few years ago. Everything turned out fine, but the whole process was extremely stressful. If I had Legal Shield at that time – I wish I did – the process would have been a whole lot better. I don’t wish this on anybody. You already know everybody’s afraid of the IRS. I’m one of them.
Simple trial defense. If at any point you need to go and defend yourself in court, they’re going to send an attorney out there on your behalf. You don’t have to spend hundreds and thousands of dollars that an attorney cost for you to be protected. These other family/domestic services are also covered at 100%: Uncontested divorce, adoption, separation, and name change. Those require a 90-day waiting period, but everything else you get coverage from the time you sign up. That’s what I love about it. You can download some documents from right there.
Let’s go right here. Let me just touch a little bit more on the traffic ticket assistance, what you would do if you get a ticket. You take a picture of it from your app, it goes straight to your law firm, and within four hours they’ll be calling you to talk about it, and they’ll take it from there. You are still probably going to have to pay the court fees, which make be $30 or $40, but you’re not going to have to pay for an attorney.
This is my favorite part of it all. I hope you guys are paying attention because this is by far my favorite part. You have 24/7 access to covered legal emergencies, so 24/7 you can talk to an attorney. I took advantage of this about four months ago. I was coming from an event. I live in Dallas, Texas. It was 2:15 in the morning that day. That day, I was not drinking, and I was not speeding because when I left, I saw the police activity and I saw a police officer getting right behind me. As he was getting behind me, I pulled my app out and I had my thumb right on that emergency legal access. As soon as he put the lights on, I pressed the button. By the time the police officer got out of his car and walked up to the window where I was, my attorney was on the Bluetooth speakers of my truck. I have a Tahoe. This is what I loved about that night. The police officer would ask a question, and my attorney from the Bluetooth would say, “Mr. Daley, you don’t have to answer that.” The police officer would ask me another question. “Mr. Daley, you don’t have to answer that.” I’m sitting back here like I’m just the coolest guy ever, just sitting back like this, and just letting that interaction go ahead. Eventually the police officer said, “You know what, here’s your driver’s license. Have a good evening.” I’m not sure things would have turned out any different. I like to think that it would have turned out the same way. But one thing that made me feel good, with everything that is going on right now in the world, if you guys have a TV, a newspaper, a radio, a phone, you know what’s going on right now, it just made me feel a whole more comfortable and a whole lot more protected to know that I have an attorney wherever my phone takes me. An attorney is right there with me. That’s why that’s my favorite, favorite button.
Another thing that comes as part of the legal plan is – and I have to say that I’m a little bit ashamed to say this, but before Legal Shield my wife and I, we did not have our will prepared. That means that if we were to pass away, the government could potentially take over the assets and pass it however they feel, or our family could fight for whatever it is that we had, so I could have my two older brothers fighting for my all my Jordan sneakers, and I don’t want that. Right. The first thing I did is I prepared a will, my living will, my healthcare power of attorney. I made to sure to tell my attorney to include never letting anybody pull the plug. I know, Traci, you feel a little different.
Traci Brown: We are different, because we went in, me and my husband, we paid $1,500 for a will a couple years ago. We had to fill out a form, and I was like, you pull that plug like that. I am done, out of here, goodbye. Kevin is like the total opposite because he wants to hang on as long as he can. I’m like, good for you man. I’m out.
Kevin Daley: Hey, do not pull the plug. They may create something that will bring me back, and I might be looking even younger, so don’t pull the plug. Then the financial power of attorney as well. This is what I want to challenge everybody on this call, once we get off here, just do a Google search and say, how much does it cost for an attorney to prepare my will? Traci, you said you paid $1,500.
Traci Brown: And we got the cheap one. That’s the thing. We got the discount. There was more we could have paid. I was like, you know what, my family will figure it out after that.
Kevin Daley: Well, this is all free as part of your membership, and you get to update it once a year. It’s prepared, again, not by a paralegal, not by someone who just knows the law, by an attorney. They are going to work hand in hand with you. It’s a smooth transition. Now, let’s talk about who’s covered under one plan, and I’m going to tell you how much it is. You’re going to be blown away. Under one plan, you as the member is covered, your spouse, or your domestic partner is also covered, any never married dependent children that are either live at home or are full time students and are under the age of 26. They’re covered too under the same plan. Now if you have any dependent children that you became a legal guardian of, they’re covered up to the age of 18. If you have any physically or mentally disabled children living at home, they’re covered for life.
This is what the cost is, and I want to talk to you about these member perks because I’m going to give you a hack on how to have this essentially for free. If you were to include the ID Shield for the entire family and the Legal Shield, the ID Shield with the three bureaus coverage it would be $54.90 a month for your entire family.
If you’re an individual and don’t have a family and you just want the Legal Shield to protect you legally and the ID Shield, three bureaus for you, yourself, that will be about $41.00 a month. That’s it.
But this is how I get to pay for mine for free. I use these member perks. Now these member perks, we have about 400 service providers or companies that you deal with on a regular basis, Best Buy, Home Depot, things that you do all the time. I bought a TV for my outdoor patio and I saved $150.00 on the TV. You can also save as little as $5.00 from Costco, but with the savings that I saved here, I pay for my plan and that’s my hack that you probably would have figured out on your own. There are over 400 vendors.
Traci Brown: Yea. I just got a computer that way.
Kevin Daley: Yea, yea. That’s it. Traci, I do have some more that I want to speak on, but I want you, if you wanted to say something before, but we also have an opportunity with the times now. One thing that I realized is that more people than ever are looking for opportunities that they can do from home, ways that they can make maybe $500.00 more, an extra $1,000.00 from home while having a full-time job. I would like to speak a little bit about that if you don’t mind, Traci.
Traci Brown: Absolutely. Here’s the deal. This is the end of part two. I told there were three parts. If this is a fit for you, you have the links. If you look in the chat, you have the links. You can always email me, and I will make sure that we set you up in the best way for you. Now, Kevin is going to continue on because if you do want to make a few extra bucks out there, there is an opportunity. I am going to turn it back over to Kevin to talk about that.
Kevin Daley: Great, great. For those who decided to stay, I’m excited that you did that because once somebody shared this information with me, I took action right away, and maybe you will feel compelled to do the same thing. If you believe in these services, Legal Shield and also the ID Shield, then you could probably guess that millions of other people also believe on these services. Typically, when you like a movie, let’s say you go to the movie theater and you like a movie, and you go and pay and then you come back and tell all of your friends about this movie, they go watch it, and you don’t get a dime from that. But with this, if you like the services, all you’ve got to do is share it, and you can make money in four different ways: (1) By personally bringing people onboard, (2) by maybe if you want to build a team, you can build a team and then every time they bring people on board, because you were the person that introduced them, you can make a couple of bucks on that as well. (3) Now you can also make residual commissions on everybody that you brought on or your team brought on every single time they pay their membership. Let me tell you about residual. That picture that I showed you guys with Sesame Street, I filmed that about seven or six years ago. You can go on YouTube and find it. Sesame Street, Harlem Globetrotters, and just about a month ago I still received a check for something I did seven or eight years ago. That’s the power of residual. (4) Also, there are plenty of bonuses and incentives.
I’m going to go through this very, very quickly out of respect for your time. If you were to bring somebody onboard and they were to sign up for the legal plan and also the ID Shield, which is the most common, you would receive right away $110.00 of commission which is a year’s worth of commissions upfront. If you have more questions about this, you can reach out to Traci or you can reach out to me.
Traci Brown: This is real typical of how . . . I’ve sold insurance before. This is a real typical conversation for insurance sales. They give you a year upfront.
Kevin Daley: That’s fantastic. Now, depending on the level that you’re in, you will come in as an associate which means you will get $110.00, but once you maybe bring on two or three people, you’re going to already be bumped up to senior associate. Then for the same membership that you pass on to other people, you’re going to be making $132.00 in upfront commission.
Now the key thing is once you start, if you decide, but you don’t have to, but if you decide to build a team, and let’s say Traci is an associate, and then you’ve got Dorothy, she brought on Traci, and Dorothy is a senior manager, when Traci brings on a new member, Dorothy will make $22.00, plus $22.00, plus $22.00. She will make $66.00 for what kind of work? For just introducing Traci to this. That’s the power of this. There are plenty of bonuses, depending on how fast you do certain things that are not required but if you do it at a certain time, they’ll reward you for doing that.
Just quickly, for each member that you bring onboard, you get a residual every single time they pay their membership for the life of their membership, even if you decide not to do this anymore, but someone still has the membership, you’ll get paid. If you were to pass away, which is going to happen to all of us, your kids will receive this because it’s willable.
How is it that you start doing this? It’s very simple. It’s a one-time investment fee of $99.00. I have to tell you, I’ve had several businesses. I had a mortgage business before where I just did the loans part, and it cost me $20,000 to start. I had a brick and mortar and all that. Unfortunately, it was around 2008. Real estate when whoosh, went down, and I’ll tell you, I lost all that plus the more money that I put for furniture and all type of things. When I got presented with this idea, and I knew that the legal plan and ID Shield was right for me, I said, this could be right for so many people and $99.00, I’ll take that risk, because $99.00 is hard-earned money, but it’s $99.00 that is worth risking for a good opportunity. That’s all it is. That’s really all that I wanted to talk to you guys about.
Now, if you say, hey, I do want to take action, it’s simple steps. You enroll as a member first. You become an associate if you believe in the business side of it. You start getting trained and you started getting paid and promoting. It’s that simple. I made money day two from when I started with Legal Shield because as I was getting trained, somebody was helping me share this information and I got money right away.
This is the plan. These are the action steps for you to take. I actually had another slide right here with your email address, Traci.
Traci Brown: I’ll put it in. I’ll put it in. It’s in the chat box.
Kevin Daley: Yea, yea. Email Traci, I believe it’s Traci@TraciBrown.com with an “i”.
Traci Brown: Yep.
Kevin Daley: All you Traci’s get with the “i” and the “y.”
Traci Brown: Don’t mess that up.
Kevin Daley: Email Traci. Say, hey, I’m ready to become an associate, or you can say, I have some questions on the business, but I want to protect my family with either a legal plan or the ID Shield, but I have questions on the business. I’m not sure yet, which I get. Or you can email her and say, I’m a number three. I have some questions that I would like to get answered and like Traci said before, she’ll do her best to get them answered for you. I’m here also as a resource. That’s all I got for you.
Traci Brown: Good deal. Thank you, Kevin. Thank you for joining us here and my crew.
